Heavenly Ugly

I tried to wear 2 inch heels once when I was working as an auditor - no go. When I was pregnant with my kiddos, I had to wear arch-supporting shoes around the clock due to the intense pressure from all of that baby weight. Now that I’m NOT pregnant and NOT working in the corporate world, meet my newest professional footwear, my fall/winter freelance power shoes (well, mine are actually black, but you get the idea):

Seriously, these go from mommy duty to desk duty in 0 seconds flat. Beautiful they aren’t, but heavenly comfy they are. They go great with my 3 other pairs of Crocs and 3 pairs of Birkenstocks……..if my daughter ever wears heels in her lifetime I’ll be shocked. If the only lesson I teach her in life is that sacrificing comfort for beauty is insane, my duty as a mother will be complete.

Note: I actually bought these not off the Crocs website where I linked to, but from this AWESOME shop in my hometown of Phillips, WI called The Crazy Loon. If by any weird chance you’re ever in town, check it out - great shop, my mom’s a VERY frequent customer :-) I try to get in there whenever I’m visiting my family.

  1. Love my Sherpa Crocs! My daughter has a pair as well, in pink, of course. I also have a pair of New England Patriots crocs (navy) and a standard black pair. From the moment I get home on Friday evening until it’s time to put on my heels for work Monday morning, my feet are in Crocs. Looks be damned.

  2. Oh, you should have waited for a deal! Crocs just laid off a bunch of people and their stock is in the toilet. I’m betting Crocs’ retail price will be slashed soon too.

Despite living in the land of Crocs, I think they are so ugly. Still, all but my youngest child has a pair because they make great pool shoes.
